The residents throw a surprise party for Helen - and Stephen surprises everyone. Paul offers Gaby the managers job. Doug gets drunk at the party and becomes argumentative. Brad and Beth discuss their relationship. Cheryl announces her engagement to Lou to everyone's surprise, including Lou! After much consideration Julie decides to tell Philip the truth about her father. Lauren leaves home after hearing about her father's engagement. Julie and Philip decide to stay together.
